As the 25th round of the regular season has concluded, our largest change in the eight is the might Penrith Panther have fallen from fifth to seventh after a golden point defeat by the dominant Canberra Raiders. The Panthers went toe to toe with the Raiders in a tight game that was resolved via a golden point. Nathan Cleary went for the mid field kick that collided with the post, that allowed Kaeo Weekes to land the game winning try for the Raiders. On Saturday night we saw the Storm clash with the Bulldogs in a second and third place showdown. The Storm caught a solid early lead, but when the Bulldogs attempted to claw their way back they failed to convert leading to six point win for the Storm. With only two weeks left most of the finals teams are looking fairly certain. There we have it, the regular home and away season is over. Well, mostly over, maybe someone should check in on the Bulldogs to see how they’re feeling right now. Collingwood finally secured a victory, ending their drought after defeating the demons by 6 points. But the biggest game this week was between Bulldogs and Fremantle. These two teams both had their finals chances in the balance with this game and it was Fremantle who were able to secure their sixth place finals dream. But all is not lost for the Bulldogs, after the Suns lost to Port Adelaide on Friday night it seems their finals dreams are still in the balance. If the Suns win, they make the eight, and could even finish in seventh place, dashing the dreams of the Bulldogs.
