Teddy Swims NRL Fate Revealed – NRL Considering Earlier Grand Final Times

Earlier this week upcoming NRL Grand Final musical act Teddy Swims had to cancel several shows in his Australian tour due to being unwell. This raised questions into whether or not the country music artist was going to be well enough to be able to perform the grand final this coming Sunday.

Chief executive of the NRL Andrew Abdo has this morning put worried fans at ease by confirming that Teddy Swims will be fit to perform on Sunday night. But that wasn’t the only piece of news from this morning. In the same conversation Abdo disclosed that, similar to the AFL, a daytime grand final was something that the NRL might consider in future years.

Daytime grand finals used to be the standard but was moved to evenings in 2001. This weekend the grand final between the Storm and Broncos will be played at 7:30pm. But in the previous few weeks the Sunday 4pm time slot has been receiving much praise and growing viewership.
