Queensland National Parks has advised that Byfield National Park, Byfield Conservation Park and Byfield State Forest are closed.
The decision was made due to deteriorating sand track conditions and an increased risk of bushfire.
Similar conditions in 2018 led to a vehicle overheating and a major bushfire in the area.

All three areas are closed until November 28, with rangers to reassess once conditions improve or significant rain is recorded.
