One lane of the Bruce Highway has reopened south of Rockhampton, after two blazes broke out either side of the road.
Multiple fire crews were called to Bajool around 3pm yesterday as two grassfires burned on each side of the highway.
At one stage both lanes were shut, but one has since reopened with delays to be expected.

Residents should stay informed and drive to the conditions.
Meanwhile a smoke warning has been issued for Mount Morgan, Struck Oil, Bouldercombe and surrounding areas.
That’s for a bushfire burning in an inaccessible area near Limestone Creek Road at Mount Dick.
