We had 50mm of rain overnight across large parts of Central Queensland, this follows falls of up to 70mm on Tuesday.

Gabriel Branesco from the Bureau of Meteorology says the wet and cool weather will continue over the coming days.

“This low continued to develop last night, and will continue to do so today, as it moves southeast offshore today and Friday…causing quite a bit of rainfall along the Queensland Coast.

“Maximum temperatures will be well below average.”
