It’s the sixth case of the virus found in the Capricorn Coast this year.
The Health Service say the person contracted the virus overseas before visiting Yeppoon.

It’s being recommended that locals remove any stagnant water in their yards to avoid attracting the insect which can carry the disease.
Dengue fever symptoms typically include a high fever, severe headache, nausea, vomiting and a rash.
