A short time later, a man, armed with a knife, threatened an employee before stealing various items.

The pair then left together in a stolen white 2022 MG ZS, with Queensland registration 039GF8.

Officers say the vehicle was stolen from a Yeppoon home at around 1 on Saturday morning.

The vehicle was located abandoned on Hempenstall Street around 5.30 on Monday afternoon.

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises the duo, or anyone with dashcam vision of the stolen car to come forward.
