Gladstone region parks trashed by vandals

Vandals have targeted two local parks, with ratepayers covering the clean up costs.

Incidents at Millennium Esplanade at Tannum Sands and Bray Park at Boyne Island saw vandalism, graffiti and rubbish being left behind.

Gladstone Regional Council crews were called in to clean up waste including sanitary bins, mulch, beer cartons and general rubbish.

Security and access arrangements at these locations are also being reviewed as part of Council’s response.

Locals are being urged to report anyone they see vandalising public property.
