A man in his early 30s has been airlifted to hospital after a suspected sea snake bite on Great Keppel Island.
The RACQ CapRescue helicopter was called to the island at midday yesterday.
The man says he had been walking in shallow water when he looked down to see the snake under his foot, and believed he had been bitten.

A CapRescue intensive care paramedic assessed the man, who was not showing any signs of envenomation.
He made the decision to call 000, as sea snakes are potentially deadly.
He has been flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
