A 54-year old man has been charged after hitting a police officer in the face, at New Auckland.
It’s alleged the man went to an address on Norma Street, where he threatened the occupants of the home at around 9.30am on April 26.
When police arrived at the scene they say the man resisted arrest and then struck an officer in the face.

The New Auckland man has been charged with public nuisance and serious assault of police.
He will appear in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on May 29.
