Drugs and weapons have been uncovered during a traffic stop at Toolooa.
Around 2.20pm Sunday, police intercepted a blue Commodore sedan on the corner of Squire and Tuna Streets and the vehicle was detained for a search.
During the search, it’s alleged an amount of methylamphetamine, a number of large hunting knives, and a homemade handgun were located.
The vehicle was declared a crime scene and a further search revealed 3D-printed firearm parts and ammunition, and drug utensils.
A 37-year-old Frenchville man has been charged with one count each of unlawful possession of weapons (handgun), authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possessing dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine), possessing a knife in a public place, possessing property suspected of having been used in the commission of a drug offence, failure to dispose of a needle and syringe, learner drive unsupervised, and contravention of a domestic violence order.
He has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Gladstone Magistrates Court on October 29.
