A man and woman are in custody following a fatal stabbing near Yeppoon.
Police were called to Maida Street at Lammermoor just after 7am on Friday, August 22, where they found a 27-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.
He died at the scene and a crime scene was declared.
Initial investigations indicate there was an altercation between the 27-year-old man and another man at the address, before the 27-year-old man was stabbed.
The offender left the scene in a white holden crewman with a woman, before they crashed along Golflinks Road at Hamilton Creek around 10.45am.
It is alleged the man and woman abandoned the Holden Crewman and approached a woman in a silver Hyundai Sante Fe, threatening her, and stealing her vehicle.
Police intercepted the vehicle along Benaraby Road near Gladstone and a 36-year-old man and 20-year-old woman from Berserker were taken into custody.
Investigations are continuing.
