A light-plane has suffered a mechanical failure during takeoff from Rockhampton Airport.
The incident happened around 2.30 yesterday afternoon, where it’s believed the plane was forced to touch down without its landing gear fully extended.
The airport’s runway was closed for a short time while emergency services removed the aircraft.
A man in his 60s has been taken to Rockhampton Hospital for assessment.
A QAS spokesperson says the man has been treated for shock.
