Locals are being reminded to take care in the heat as temperatures rise across Central Queensland again today.
It’s expected to reach 34 degrees in Rockhampton, and 31 degrees in Gladstone.
The humidity is also making conditions unpleasant.
QAS Clinical Director Lachlan Parker says it’s a timely reminder for everyone to stay cool over the next couple of days.
“Get out of the sun, make sure you stay hydrated, avoid any drinks with excess amounts of sugar or alcohol and most importantly look after anyone in those vulnerable groups such as the elderly, or the very young.
“And also look after your pets because they can suffer the dreadful consequences of this heat as well,” he says.
