Witness appeal after serious crash leaves man in hospital

A serious crash at Port Curtis is under investigation.

Around 11.20am, December 4, a black YZF Yamaha motorcycle was travelling westbound along the Capricorn Highway when rear-ended a white Nissan Patrol Station Wagon.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 37-year-old Rockhampton man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital.

The driver of the Nissan, a 55-year-old Wandal woman, and a 21-year-old female passenger from Gracemere, were not physically injured.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or have dashcam footage of the incident, to come forward.
