GEA Gladstone Supply Chain Expo kicks off this Thursday The GEA Gladstone Supply Chain Expo, presented by APLNG, will showcase more than 60 exhibitors highlighting the services and capabilities of Gladstone’s highly skilled supply chain. GEA is inviting the community, local business and Gladstone’s diverse resource and construction Industry to attend with GEA CEO Carli Homann saying the Expo is an unsurpassed opportunity for industry decision makers and the community to engage with Gladstone region manufacturers, engineers, suppliers and industry experts in one place. “The GEA Supply Chain Expo is about giving local suppliers the opportunity to showcase their high level skills and capacity gained from working within these industries for many years,” Ms Homann said. “These suppliers are ready and waiting to deliver world-class service for major projects and we want to make sure that everyone knows about their services and capabilities.” Special guests from around the state have been invited to attend the Expo. These guests represent resource companies and buyers - from project investors and proponents, Government representatives and industry associations to Tier 1 contractors and smaller firms. “There will be a number of presentations throughout the day but one to look out for is from InterPort Global who are touting Gladstone as a location for a future international freight transport hub,” Ms Homann said. “Inter-Port Global chief executive Des Euen shared his vision to develop a container hub at the State Development Area, near Mount Larcom only a couple of weeks ago which, if it comes to fruition, will be a $30 billion project.” Mrs Homann said the Expo is also a chance for the Gladstone community to learn more about Gladstone industry and the businesses at the heart of the resources sector. “The expo is not only a fantastic opportunity for the community to get an update on what’s happening in the resource and construction sector around Gladstone but also to get advice and review products for home renovations including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, security, engineering, fencing, environmental, painting, training, safety, finance and more.” This will be the third year GEA has run the event with Ms Homann saying it will be bigger and better than 2017 in so many ways. “We have moved the Expo back to the Gladstone Entertainment and Convention Centre to allow space for more exhibitors and to allow suppliers with larger equipment to show off their capabilities,” Ms Homann said. The event will be hosted this Thursday, April 12 at the Gladstone Entertainment & Convention Centre from 9am to 3pm. for more details you can contact Gladstone Engineering Alliance 07 4972 9060 or 0438 146 819.Cheers MjB plus we will be broadcasting live from 7am so come on down for a chat.
