Council to thank regional volunteers at free recognition breakfasts Gladstone Regional Council will thank hundreds of volunteers across the Gladstone Region next month at four free recognition breakfasts to be held during 2018 National Volunteers Week. Gladstone Region Mayor Matt Burnett said organisations’ volunteers were invited to be special guests at regional breakfasts to have their valuable efforts within our communities acknowledged. “We have an extensive number of volunteers across our region, who generously contribute to make the Gladstone Region great,” Councillor Burnett said. “National Volunteers Week is the ideal time to thank all volunteers who freely give their time, skills and assistance to help organisations and residents in our region. “Council is very appreciative of the vital services provided by volunteers and is pleased to host recognition breakfasts as a small way to recognise the efforts of individuals.” Council will host free National Volunteer Week Recognition Breakfasts from 7am to 9am at: • Agnes Water/Seventeen Seventy: Monday, May 21 at the 1770 Bowls Club, 205 Captain Cook Dr, Seventeen Seventy, • Miriam Vale: Wednesday, May 23, Miriam Vale Community Centre, Blomfield St, Miriam Vale, • Boyne Valley: Thursday, May 24, Boyne Valley Community Discovery Centre, 15 McDonald St, Ubobo, • Gladstone: Friday, May 25, Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre, 56 Goondoon St, Gladstone.
