Great to see the CEO Lee Schofield of ALLIANCE AIRLINES ’ with our Mayor Matt Burnett AT THE ANNUAL SEASON OF GIVING SUPPORTING LOCAL SPORTING TEAMS IN 2019 Alliance Airlines in conjunction with Gladstone Regional Council have selected over 20 local junior sporting teams to receive complimentary return flights between Gladstone and Brisbane as part of this year’s Season of Giving initiative. Season of Giving is an annual event hosted by Alliance Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Lee Schofield awarding complimentary flights to community recipients for use by their members for fundraising initiatives in the Gladstone region. “Throughout the year, we’ve been approached by a number of organisations looking for assistance. Season of Giving is our way of giving back, staying in touch with members of the local community and seeing how we can better contribute,” Mr. Schofield said. “With last year’s Season of Giving, eleven charities were able to fundraise for much needed funds for worthy causes directly in the Gladstone region,” Mr. Schofield stated. This year Alliance Airlines has selected local sporting teams to be recipients for free flights to assist with fundraising. The following sporting clubs will be presented with their free return flight certificates at a function held on the 12 December hosted by Alliance Airlines CEO, Lee Schofield. The recent bushfire emergency saw Alliance assist the region with an additional 8 charter flights in early December, transporting over 750 firefighters and support staff to the areas in need. These adhoc charter flights from across the east coast of Australia are an example of Alliance’s unique ability to respond at short notice and efficiently to meet the needs of the communities we service,” Mr. Schofield stated. Alliance Airlines also introduced three new offers in 2018 to benefit the general public and local businesses in the region. In September, Alliance Airlines introduced the ‘Escape to Brisbane’ fare offering highly discounted fares for resident bookings with a minimum of 21 days in advance and flexible with their travel dates and times. The “International Add-On” and “Cruise Add-On” fare was implemented in conjunction with local travel agents to promote local businesses and provide an affordable option for Gladstone residents who are travelling overseas. Alliance Airlines has also introduced a “Buy 10, get 1 free flight*” corporate offer to assist local small-tomedium sized businesses whole regularly travel to Brisbane for work. “We’re confident that these discounted fares will benefit Gladstone residents and local businesses and we’re excited to work with the community to promote travel to and from Brisbane,” Mr. Schofield stated.
