Garage Sale Trail across Gladstone Region attracts all kinds of sales A community group is one of the hundreds of Gladstone Region’s 2018 Garage Sale Trail sellers taking the opportunity to sell items and clean out their shed during this weekend’s big weekend of sales. Gladstone Region Councillor PJ Sobhanian said the Gladstone Men’s Shed was just one local group which had registered to take part in the Garage Sale Trail, being held across the Gladstone Region on October 21 and 22. “Community groups, businesses and a high percentage of individual householders are continuing to join the Garage Sale Trail each day,” Cr Sobhanian said. “Residents keen to host a garage sale can register online for free up to the sale days this weekend but are urged to sign up now to gain maximum sale promotion.” The Gladstone Men’s Shed has registered a garage sale on Saturday, October 21 to ease their transition from an old to new building. “The Garage Sale Trail has proven timely for this community group to sell their left over and excess building materials and assist their move into new premises,” Cr Sobhanian said. “Other sellers registered across our region include residents who are downsizing their property, to those hosting an empty nest sale, or householders undertaking a spring clean.” Currently the Gladstone Region has 74 individual garage sales registered for the weekend in addition to seven group sales offering a combined 65 stalls. Buyers will be able to create their own treasure trail to follow with garage sales occurring throughout our region from Agnes Water to Miriam Vale, Boyne/Tannum, Benaraby, Gladstone, Calliope and Ambrose. Register online to host a garage sale or to view garage sales in the Gladstone Region at www.garagesaletrail.com.au/gladstone or phone Council's Strategic Community Inclusion Officer Luis Arroyo on 4976 6300 for registration assistance.
