The operator of the Spirit of Tasmania ferry is one of two parties charged over the deaths of 16 polo ponies on their return to Victoria following a tournament.
TT-Line Company has been charged along with the drivers of the horse transport vehicles, following the deaths of the prized ponies returning from a polo tournament in Tasmania in late January 2018.
Tasmania's Department of Primary Industries on Wednesday said some of the Animal Welfare Act charges relate to horses which survived the same Bass Strait ferry crossing.
