Kids to learn citizenship pledge under ALP
Australian children would be required to learn and recite the citizenship pledge at school under a future Labor government.
Opposition education spokeswoman Tanya Plibersek floated the idea during a speech in Sydney on Tuesday night.
"Because whether you're born here or choose Australia as your new home, the pledge sets out a template for inclusive citizenship," Ms Plibersek said.
