Rescue Chopper called to Pan Freesa off Gladstone
In the early hours of this morning, the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service was tasked to conduct a patient winch from the “Pan Freesa” shipping vessel located of the Gladstone Coastline.
The on board Critical Care Paramedic and Rescue Crewman were winched to the deck to attended to a 36 year old man who had suffered a suspected stroke.
It was a difficult mission, the crew utilised night vision goggles to conduct this winch under challenging meteorological conditions.
The man was transported to Rockhampton in a stable condition for further treatment.
