A South Gladstone home has gone up in flames this morning- with three fire crews called to battle the blaze at 3:20am.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokesperson told us the Ouston place house was well alight when they arrived and a lot of smoke was generated.

They managed to get the fire under control before 4am but remained on scene with paramedics until 6am.

Police are now on scene and a request for a fire investigator to analyse the cause has been made.

No one was injured in the fire.

It follows a busy day for Queensland Fire and Emergency services in the CQ region, with four fires called in around the Mount Morgan area yesterday from midday.

The largest fire was at Hall and Central Streets as nine crews attended at 12.30pm. That fire took more than 3 hours to control.

A silver Nissan Navara was seen in the area and is a vehicle of interest.
