This Sunday locals will be encouraged to stretch their limbs for a great cause.

Gladstone Salt Power Yoga teacher, Dr. Emilia Dauway, will be hosting a fundraising yoga class with all proceeds going to helping women in regional areas beat and recover from breast cancer.

Dr. Dauway is the founder of Restore More, a project that not only helps women in rural areas receive treatment for breast cancer, but helps women reclaim their body's from cancer and become themselves once again, through compassionate reconstruction.

“Offering women education, treatment, and the opportunity to regain their lives while remaining close to home and their support networks as standard care is the core of Restore More,” says Dr. Emilia Dauway, Restore More founder.

Restore More aims to raise awareness of breast cancer treatment options through education and increased access to breast reconstruction by providing funding for women in regionally disadvantaged areas.

“Our vision is to empower breast cancer survivors to have a meaningful quality of life through the practice of mindful living,” says Dr. Emilia Dauway, Restore More
founder.

Dr. Emilia Dauway is an expert in the surgical technique called oncoplastic surgery, the technique achieves a satisfactory margin of normal breast tissue while maintaining or improving the cosmetic appearance of the breast.

The concept of oncoplastic surgery is a merger of plastic surgical techniques with oncologic surgery to reconfigure, reshape or reconstruct the breast after breast
preservation or mastectomy.

Dr. Emilia Dauway is the former Chief of Breast Surgery and the director of the Breast Cancer Program at Baylor, Scott and White Healthcare in Texas, USA. She is an American trained surgeon who has taken the opportunity to practice general and oncologic surgery in Australia.
