Weapon & Drugs Charges, Rockhampton

A man faces charges after he was allegedly caught with a knuckleduster and drugs outside a licensed venue in Rockhampton during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police spotted the man on East Street and searched him at 12:30AM.  It will be alleged he was in possession of a knuckleduster and a clip seal bag containing nine tablets believed to be MDMA.

A 25-year-old Depot Hill man has been charged with possession of a weapon and possession of a dangerous drug.

He is expected to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates court on February 27.

Police are continuing to work with licensed venues to address the detection of illicit drugs and anyone with information regarding the possession or supply of a dangerous drugs is urged to report the matter to police.
