Health crisis fails to shake local rental market
The Covid-19 health crisis has not had the dire effect on our local property market as some predicted, according to Real Estate Institute Queensland.
The latest figures show Rockhampton has kept relatively stable with a 0.3 per cent drop of available rentals in the first few months of the year; although Gladstone has had demand actually increase with a record low of 1.6 per cent rental vacancy.
The R.E.I.Q. chief says worst-case scenarios about rental vacancies being beyond ruin, don't reflect what's really happening at the moment.
