A Queensland transport company and a truck driver have been hit with $30,000 in fines for failing  to comply with general biosecurity measures.

The company moved cattle from a cattle tick infested zone through the cattle tick free zone without treating the animals.

An unscheduled stop saw several cattle escape the truck, leading to a cattle tick infestation on two nearby properties.
