Campers fined for COVID-19 breach, Shoalwater Bay
Three men have been charged with trespassing after police found them camping at a military site in Central Queensland.
Patrols began at Five Rocks beach after a tip off of hooning in the area.
Officers discovered 14 vehicles parked at the Defence Training Area at Shoalwater Bay on Sunday morning.
Subsequent inquiries have resulted in two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man being issued with a Notice To Appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 19 for trespassing on Commonwealth Land.
The trio have also been fined 13-hundred dollars for breaching coronavirus restrictions.
