An elderly person has walked 200 meters to get help after a quad bike incident in Central Queensland.

The patient in their 80s was riding on a rural property when they mis-navigated a corner and subsequently rolled.

RACQ Capricorn Rescue said they were tasked to the Goovigen area at 11:15am on Thursday morning, landing at a local sporting field.

The patient was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition with a suspected broken collar bone, minor cuts and abrasions.
