Livingstone's New Year's Eve fireworks cancelled
The wet weather has put a dampener on New Year's Eve celebrations in Livingstone Shire.
Council's fireworks displays have sadly been canned due to the forecast rain.
Three displays were scheduled to go off at 9pm tonight, at Emu Park, Yeppoon and Glenlee, but Livingstone Shire Council has issued a statement this morning, saying the events have all been cancelled.
"Council apologises for the inconvenience, and wishes the Livingstone Shire community a safe and happy 2021," the statement reads.
