Injured rider rescued off Mt Archer
A man is suspected to have broken his arm and gotten some head and neck injuries during a mountain bike accident at Mount Archer overnight.
A patient in his 40s was injured along the First Turkey Track sometime before 7pm before emergency services were called.
An RACQ Capricorn Rescue spokesperson says a helicopter was called to the incident before landing 100 metres from the spot where the man was hurt.
"Once on scene the flight crew were met by the Critical Care Paramedic, QAS paramedics and Queensland Fire Service," the spokesperson says.
"The patient suffered a suspected broken arm with head and neck precautions also being taken on scene.
"The patient was stabilised prior to being loaded onto the helicopter for the short flight to Rockhampton Base Hospital."
