Heatwave sweeps through Rockhampton
We're in for a scorcher during the last week of summer.
A heatwave will send temperatures soaring to between six and ten degrees above the average in Rockhampton today.
Forecaster from the Bureau of Metrology Peter Clarson says they're forecasting a top of 41 degrees.
"That's really the peak of the heat around the Capricornia district today, where we are expecting a severe heatwave."
Tomorrow is predicted to get up to 38 degrees.
Temperatures will drop slightly from Wednesday, staying in the mid-30s until Sunday.
