Patient airlifted after three-car rollover at Yeppoon
Rockhampton Road has become a makeshift landing pad, with the RACQ Capricorn Rescue chopper touching down on the bitumen, following a nasty three-car crash at the entrance to Yeppoon.
Emergency crews including the Rescue 300, were called to the collision around 3.45pm on Wednesday afternoon, with reports one of the vehicles had flipped.
Five patients were assessed at the scene, with one man suffering wrist and possible head injuries.
The Rescue 300 landed on the road with the onboard medical team re-assessing the patient and stabilising him, before airlifting the man to Rockhampton Base Hospital, where he was expected to receive further scans and treatment for the suspected injuries.
He was transported in a serious but stable condition.
Four other patients didn't need hospital treatment.
