Quick thinking from local firefighters have saved a unit from burning down overnight. 

 

Calls were made around 5:30pm, with reports  a low set brick home on Sheehy street in Park Avenue was on fire. 

 

Six fire crews attended the scene and had the fire extinguished a short time later. 

 

Only the one unit was affected and was handed back to the owners after final checks were made. 

 

Nobody was home at the time.
