Man seriously injures arm in Dixalea crash
A crash west of Gladstone has left a man being airlifted to hospital with a serious arm injury.
The local rescue chopped was called to the scene at Dixalea at 5:36pm, where a man in his 40s had been removed from his vehicle with the help of police, paramedics and fire crews.
A spokesperson for RACQ Capricorn Rescue say his car "had struck the side of another vehicle".
"The patient suffered suspected internal injuries and a serious arm injury, whilst the driver of the second vehicle was unhurt," the spokesperson says.
"The patient was assessed by the on-board Doctor and Critical Care Paramedic before being transferred to Rockhampton Base hospital.
"The patient was in a stable condition throughout the flight."
