About 5000 people are expected to flock to Browne Park in Rockhampton for the NRL on Sunday afternoon.

A pop up vaccination hub will be available from 11am for locals wanting to get their COVID jab, ahead of the match between the Eels and the Knights.

Rockhampton MP Barry O'Rourke says you'll need your medicare card and ID with you if you plan to get one.

"The more the merrier that get the vaccine, 100 or 200 people that would be a great outcome," Mr O'Rourke says.

"While the delta virus is not in Queensland as such, now's the time to get vaccinated to keep our community safe.

"You will have to sit around for probably about 15 minutes after you've had your vaccination just to make sure everything's all okay, then you're off to enjoy the football for the afternoon."
