It's set to be a little easier to get your COVID jab in Gladstone.

Opening hours at the community based vaccination centre at the local CQUniversity Tafe site are set to be extended.

The Derby Street location will be opening on Saturdays 9am to 4pm, starting from this weekend.

CQ Health’s Director COVID Response Candise Bradshaw says more than 12,000 doses of
vaccine had been administered in Gladstone.

“We are always looking at ways to increase access to the COVID-19 vaccination to Central
Queenslanders, and this extra Saturday clinic will make it more convenient for people who
work regular business hours,” she says.

“Vaccination is the best way out of this pandemic, and I’m very proud of the way Central
Queenslanders are taking up the opportunity to play their part.”

The centre is in Block B of the CQUniversity TAFE site in Derby Street.
