Months-long drug operation leads to dozens of arrests
Around $1 million worth of drugs have been seized during the closure of a 10-month long Queensland Police operation targeting drug networks linked to an outlaw motorcycle gang.
More than two dozen search warrants were executed on Sunday and Monday across Rockhampton and parts of the south-east.
A spokesperson for Queensland Police says 42 people have been arrested on 428 charges, as part of Operation Tango Citron.
It includes offences such as trafficking in dangerous drugs, serious and organised crime and trafficking in dangerous drugs criminal organisation.
"Total seizures during the course of the operation included: 113kg of cannabis, 134grams of cocaine and 84grams of methylamphetamine, $640,000 cash and 13 weapons comprising of five handguns and eight rifles," the spokesperson says.
"The seized drugs have an estimated street value of $1 million."
