Woman flown to hospital in serious condition from GKI
A woman has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition following an incident on Great Keppel Island.
The patient in her 70s suffered a suspected stroke, before having a minor fall in her kitchen.
A spokesperson for RACQ Capricorn Rescue says they were tasked to the scene at 4.47pm on Wednesday.
"Upon arrival on the island, the on-board medical team assessed and provided medical aid to a female patient aged in her seventies.
"She was treated for suspected stroke and minor fall injuries."
The woman was flown to Rockhampton Hospital in a serious but stable condition for further scans and treatment.
