A 50-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash at St Lawrence on Friday.

Initial investigations suggest the rider was travelling along the Bruce Highway just before 5pm when he lost control and crashed into a barrier on the side of the Heifer Creek bridge.

Passers-by rendered first aid to the man, however he died on scene a short time later.

Crash investigators are appealing for any witnesses or vision of the white and blue Honda motorcycle prior to the crash to contact police.
