Man stabs boy several times on Palm Island
A teenager has suffered four stab wounds and a man has been charged following a quarrel on Palm Island.
It's alleged three men and a 17-year-old boy began arguing while at a home on Sunday afternoon. They then decided to settle their argument by fighting in the street.
As they walked out, the teen hit one of the men with a stick. A second man armed with a knife then chased the boy who tripped and fell, with the man stabbing him multiple times.
The teen was airlifted to Townsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 28-year-old man has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and one count of obstructing police. He will appear at Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday.
