The RACQ CapRescue has airlifted a man from a bulk carrier, 260 kilometres east of Gladstone.
The crews was called around 5am on Friday, to transfer a man in his 50s suffering a medical episode.
The Rescue300 helicopter was able to land on the vessel.

The onboard Paramedic treated the patient there, stabilising him before transporting him to the hangar on the mainland.
The man was then taken by road to the Rockhampton Hospital.
